Rooted in Community

FARMesilla was founded in 2018 by T.J. Runyan, a proud NMSU graduate and longtime advocate for southern New Mexico's agricultural legacy. Driven by the goal of reconnecting the community with the land, T.J. created FARMesilla as a hub where the Mesilla Valley's rich produce, flavors, and craftsmanship could be enjoyed locally—without being shipped away and sold back through big-box retailers.

Today, FARMesilla stands as a symbol of local pride and sustainability. We work closely with area farmers, ranchers, and small businesses to ensure that over 90% of our goods come straight from New Mexico soil.

From supporting local events and schools to spotlighting Aggie spirit through our exclusive "Aggie Corner," FARMesilla is more than a business—it's a growing movement rooted in the people and place we call home.

Our Farmstore

Inside our welcoming farmstore, you'll find the best of what New Mexico has to offer—seasonal produce, local eggs, pecans, honey, jams, handmade salsas, cold-pressed juices, bath & body scrubs and salts, wines, spirits, and artisan dry goods. Every item is hand-selected to reflect the quality, sustainability, and taste of the region.

You'll also discover gift items, house plants, and a wide range of local favorites. Our unique partnership with NMSU Athletics brings fans exclusive access to products like Pistol Pete's Ale, whiskey, salsa, and candles—making FARMesilla the only place where Aggie pride meets local craftsmanship.

Our Kitchen

Led by acclaimed Chef Becky Windels, the FARMesilla restaurant blends fresh, local ingredients with creativity and comfort. Our menu features a rotating selection of house-made meals designed for every appetite—from light bites to hearty fare.

Everything is made from scratch, with plenty of gluten-free and vegan-friendly options clearly labeled.

With cozy indoor seating and a shaded outdoor pavilion overlooking the Organ Mountains, the café offers the perfect setting for a quick bite or a relaxed meal with family and friends.

Nestled in the heart of Historic Mesilla, FARMesilla is surrounded by one of New Mexico’s most culturally rich and scenic destinations. With its adobe architecture, centuries-old plaza, and vibrant local spirit, Mesilla offers a glimpse into the past while celebrating the present.
